Terms of service
Effective October 11, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Carblam for using carblam.com and the Carblam iPhone app. By creating an account or using Carblam, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Carblam.
What Carblam is
Carblam searches public used-car listings for the cars you choose, estimates what each car is worth, and notifies you when one looks underpriced. Carblam isn't a dealer, broker or marketplace. We don't sell cars, we don't take part in your purchase, and we aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the sites whose listings we show. Their names and trademarks belong to them.
Estimates, not advice
Listings come from third parties and can be wrong, out of date or already sold. Our prices, grades (such as "Blam!" or "Deal"), repair estimates and readings of ads and photos are automated estimates. They can be wrong, and they aren't financial, legal or mechanical advice. Before you buy any car, see it in person, have it inspected by a mechanic you trust, check its title and history, and use your own judgment. You're responsible for your dealings with sellers. Never send money to anyone you haven't met, for a car you haven't seen.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription.
- An account belongs to one person, signed in with your Apple or Google account. Keep that account secure: you're responsible for what happens in your Carblam account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Plans, trials and payment
- Free trial. New accounts get a free trial (currently 7 days). When it ends, scans pause until you choose a plan.
- Subscriptions. The membership (currently Pro) is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. Its limits (how many cars, locations, how far and how often we check) are shown when you choose it.
- Where you pay. Subscriptions bought on carblam.com are billed by Stripe. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple through your Apple ID, and Apple's terms for purchases also apply. Your plan works on both the website and the app whichever way you paid.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time: in the app under Settings, then Cancel membership; on carblam.com under Scans, then Your plan; or, for an App Store subscription, in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and a plan paid on carblam.com can be resumed before then.
- Refunds. Payments aren't refundable for partly used periods, except where the law requires otherwise. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
- Changes. We may change prices or plan limits. We'll tell you before a price change applies to you, and it takes effect at your next renewal; you can cancel before then.
Fair use
Don't misuse Carblam. In particular, don't:
- copy, scrape or resell Carblam's results, or use them to run a competing service;
- share an account, or get around plan limits, rate limits or security;
- interfere with or overload the service, or try to reach parts of it you aren't meant to;
- use Carblam to break the law, harass sellers, or commit fraud.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that do these things.
Third-party content
Listings, photos and descriptions belong to the people and sites that posted them. Links to other sites, including eBay listings, take you to services we don't control, under their own terms.
Changes to Carblam
We're always improving Carblam, so features and the sites we read may change. A site may stop letting us read its listings at any time. We'll try to keep Carblam running smoothly but don't promise it will always be available or error-free.
Disclaimers and limits
Carblam is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't warrant that listings, prices or estimates are accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Carblam won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a car you buy, a seller you deal with, or a deal you miss. Our total liability for any claim relating to Carblam is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Carblam and delete your account at any time. We may stop providing Carblam, or close your account if you break these terms. The sections on estimates, disclaimers and limits continue to apply after your account closes.
Apple
If you use the iPhone app: these terms are between you and Carblam, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app, its content, support or maintenance, or any claims about it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies by law, you may notify Apple for a refund of the app's purchase price, if any. You confirm you aren't in a country under a U.S. government embargo or on a U.S. government list of restricted parties.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in New York have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, if a change matters, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using Carblam after that means you accept the new terms.
